HiveGigz (hivegigz.com) is a marketplace for connecting job seekers, employers, and skilled people who offer services and gigs.

• Improve search results and site performance
• Show nearby jobs based on location (only with your permission)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Google sign-in

When you use Continue with Google, we receive the following from Google:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile photo (optional)

We do not receive your Google password or any other Google account data.

This information is used only to create or log in to your HiveGigz account. Google's own Privacy Policy governs how Google handles your data before sharing it with us.

You can disconnect Google sign-in at any time from Settings → Security.

5. Who we share data with

We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:

• Employers / recruiters — when you apply, they see your application details.
• Service partners — our hosting and email partners store or send data only to run the site (never to sell it).
• Legal requirements — when the law requires it or to protect users.

6. Data storage & security

• Your data is stored on secure servers with encrypted connections (HTTPS).
• Passwords are scrambled so we cannot read them.
• Only authorised staff can access user data when needed for support.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep it.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep the site secure, plus optional browser storage for your theme and location choice — no advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear these any time in your browser settings.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct — update inaccurate information via Settings or your profile.
• Delete — request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Object — opt out of non-essential communications in Settings → Notifications.
• Portability — request an export of your data in a readable format.

9. Children

HiveGigz is not directed at children. You must meet the minimum age to use online services in your country (for example 18 in Kenya, 16 in the United States). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age. If you believe a child has registered, email privacy@hivegigz.com and we will delete the account promptly.
